Our mission is to change the world with hip-hop. The HipHopHuis is a breeding ground for the experience and development of hip-hop culture. An energetic community of creative people with a positive-critical world view who are engaged in hip-hop music, dance or lifestyle on a daily basis. An organization that is based on the values op hip-hop but goes beyond the 4 elements. A home that unites people, takes our culture to a “higher level” and is a source of fun, passion and possibilities. In order to grow further as a cultural movement, we not only invest in craftsmanship and artistic skills, but also the wider culture and social context. That is why we’re looking for a culture & knowledge program leader. Grow with us to become the ultimate hip-hop hub.
The culture & knowledge program leader’s main focus will be to put knowledge, awareness, values and history within hip-hop and black culture on the agenda. Do you want to focus on the further development of our genres and communities with your love for hip hop? As a program leader you – together with the dance program leader – contribute to the content of the HipHopHuis. You do this from the perspective of intellectual leadership and ownership in the national scene, in order to experience and interpret the meaning of our cultural movement. You connect thinkers and doers with each other, locally, nationally and internationally. In doing so you lay a solid foundation for the imagination, self-knowledge, cultural and historical awareness of a hip-hop generation.
Our vision is that the hip-hop sector should be strengthened by creatives who have self-knowledge, artistic and business skills and who continue to develop themselves in a sustainable manner. With a strong network of (bi) cultural initiators that are active throughout the country, we increase the unity, scope and strength of hip-hop culture.
