About Powertalk
With PowerTalks we aim to support our community leaders in sharpening their vision when it comes to strategies around power. Over the years we faced incidents and constructs of racism, misogyny, capitalism etc. inside and outside of our scene. To share experiences and collectively build strategies we started the concept of Powertalk in 2018. We organized keynotes, lectures, interviews and roundtables about exclusion, extraction, appropriation and ownership. We have involved people like M1 of dead prez, Emory Douglas, Lynnée Denise, Kelechi Okafor, Wayne Modest, bboy Shark of Camps Breakerz, Simone Zeefuik, Adreinne Waheed, Mitchell Esajas, Lakwena, Rich Medina, Mungayende, Jonathan McCrory, Afaina de Jong and many more.
